Custom Creations - Mark Scheifele

It's been a busy week on a number of fronts. Work is still in high gear (probably until the first week of December), I've been trying to get some year end paperwork in order (yeah....good luck with that), I've made a couple feeble attempts at Christmas shopping (last year I spent the first 3 days of my vacation time shopping....it's not happening this year) and I have a very important trip upcoming (details on that to follow).

Man.....I can't wait for the new year to hit. I need a break. :)

Back to my trip for a minute. It's a trip I've been wanting to take for a number of years but have just never pulled the trigger.

This trip even inspired me to quickly slap together this custom card (all will be revealed at a later point).

This Mark Scheifele custom celebrates his first NHL goal. What I like about the custom is that it's simple (say for the fact he's cut out) and both the picture on the front and back are from the game where he scored his first goal.

I like stuff like that.

I gotta say, the more I see the Jets logo, the more I like it. I think it looks rock solid in the background of this custom.

I tried printing it out on different paper as well. It was more of a textured matte paper. I liked it a lot, but the paper stock was too thick. When I put taped the front and back together and put it through my die-cutter, the edges curled slightly.

Either the final product was too thick, or the blades on the cutter need a sharpen.

Regardless, I got one printed, assembled and cut that looks good to me.

I can't wait to put it to good use.

  1. Nice work! I really like the giant logo's (although I'm not a fan of this Jet's logo). It's just got a great overall look to it.

  2. Nice. Sooner or later, you're going to see one of your designs being used elsewhere. Who knows, maybe they'll even pay you for it?

  3. Can you print another one of these?
I'd be interested in trading for it. Please email me for more details. Thanks!

  4. Hi Skroeker,

Unfortunately, the customs I create are not for public purchase. I appreciate the interest, but I will have to decline the offer.

    Sorry.
